Mount Hermon coordinates airport shuttles for its writers. The shuttle service is from Mineta San Jose International Airport (and back again after the conference). It’s approximately a one-hour ride to Mount Hermon.
Signing up for the Airport Shuttle Service
- Cost is $75 (round trip).
- After registering for the conference, contact the registration office at 888.642.2677 to reserve and pay for the Shuttle Service no later than March 10.
If at all possible, aim to arrive at the San Jose Airport during the timeframes listed below. Allow at least two hours from your landing time to get to the Mount Hermon Conference Center
Schedule flights that arrive in San Jose on Wednesday between noon and 3:00pm. Pre-conference Clinic begins with 6:00pm dinner.
Early Arrivals & Faculty
Schedule flights that arrive in San Jose on Thursday between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
Friday Writers Conference
Schedule flights to arrive in San Jose on Friday between 8:00 and 10:15am. Conference begins with lunch at 12:15pm.
If you are coming in later than the above times, you may call a Lyft or Uber. This is a less expensive option than renting a car or staying in San Jose overnight.
Where do I go once I arrive at the San Jose Airport?
Collect your checked bags, then look for someone in the baggage claim area holding a Mount Hermon sign. This person will direct you to the Mount Hermon shuttle area.
NOTE: We do our best to get everyone to the conference center as promptly as possible. However, you may need to wait a short time until we have enough passengers to fill a shuttle. If you would rather not wait for a shuttle, you may call a Lyft or Uber. However, your shuttle reservation payment will not be refunded.
Mount Hermon shuttle service will run on Tuesday only, starting at 8:00am. Last shuttle leaves at 12:00noon.
Check-out time is 9:00am, but you may leave your luggage in secure places on the conference grounds until near your shuttle departure time.
If at all possible, schedule your return flight to depart from the San Jose Airport no earlier than 10:30am.
Allow at least two hours to get from the Mount Hermon Conference Center to the airport.
